I don't have an ask.fm ok leave me alone

I met my wife at a Star Trek convention. She was study abroad from France and spoke little English, and I didn’t know a lick of French. So, for the first few months of our relationship, we communicated by speaking Klingon.

Okay I’m not even a Star Trek fan but that’s beautiful.

Windows XP Theme For Linux Is Ideal For New Users

Upgrading from Windows XP to Lubuntu? This XP-style theme should make the switch easier, resembling Microsoft’s aged OS in almost every area.

Story below, but here’s what’s in the pics:

- Dell Dimension 3100, no hard drive, new RAM, USB in the back(green)
- Random Dell monitor(I use it for testing older rigs)

It’s been repurposed for media — Something I’ve wanted for a while, a machine I can use to play videos and stuff on my widescreen TV.

My cousin brought me this little shit without a hard drive. His stepdad had bought the thing from a police auction(for 30 USD, if I remember correctly). Then, my cousin brought it over without any RAM in it. He left the sticks at home. Luckily, I had some to spare.
With no hard drive(and plenty of spare to go around), I decided to slap Lubuntu onto an 8GB USB for the sake of not wanting to waste an 80 gig drive that would probably only have 5GB on it at once.
After that was finished, it was a matter of messing with the bios.
It’s going to cost be about 5 bucks for a VGA cable, but I never spent a penny on this thing(unless you cound that USB, which was 5 or 6 bucks I think).

I’m pretty proud of myself. The thing runs completely silent, and now that I’ve set everything up(and backed up that USB onto my terra drive), I’m going to remove…
- Floppy Drive
- Optical Drive
- 1/2 the ram(which would be 512 MB)

And use those for new rigs I come across.

For now, it’s 1080p horses and Space Dandy c:

yaaaay my laptop has been reborn with lubuntu

except on here alt+reblog doesn’t work ;n;

This is what happens for real when I can’t find the right words.

Horse Tornado is the only phrase I will use from now on

Above all, don’t lie to yourself. The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love.
